I just love this one...

FOR WHO

The silent light of the moon fell

on the shores of the sandy beach.

I walked along the lonely stretch

which was far out of reach.

I lay down gazing at the stars above,

Thinking of the maiden that hovered around.

Her name was printed on the wet shores

Hot tears came wheeling down.

For five years we met here

Right at the place we lay now

I began to dig a marked land

Searching for the treasure I left behind.

She said “keep this forever,

For I shall leave now

And I shall return someday

For our love is forever”

And I said “No my lady!

For we shall meet again

Let me bury this in here

And some day we shall adore it again”

Five years passed

For long have I waited.

I dug the land for the treasured treasure

I dug in vain without any gain

And I found a piece of paper

Addressed to the bearer of the pain

It read

“The river adorns the sea

The sea admires the river

And the ocean came in the way

To sweep the river away from sea”

Just the Start

Had a great start to the holidays this time with a wonderful trip to Kerala. Kerala sure is GOD'S OWN COUNTRY and his private picnic spot too... It seems to be unaffected by all the holocaust of nature happening day by day in the cities these days. Believe it or not, in Munnar , a popular hill station, even plastic waste is also hard to find. I laud the authorities and the tourists who have acted responsibly. Our group also had the privelege of spotting the 'Nilgiri Thar' an endagered species.. was an enriching experience..One thing is 4 sure.. kerala will be the only state in india which will still have ample water when the whole of india is at drought... From the depth of my heart thou i wish that situation never arises.
Also the mist and tea gardens of munnar are quite amazing.. Not worth spending time and money for visiting the swiss alps when we ve got one in our backyard..

Since the return there has been nothing much to do, i can possibly call this as the worst holidays ever.. have been watching a lot of movies. MANGAL PANDEY was one of them. Though it was not a thorough entertainer, was happy that i had a stint of out country s history. Though ppl might question the credibility of the story, calling Mangal an accidental hero and stuff.. he is and will continue to be Indias first recorded martyr, which is a matter of great pride and honour for him and for us.
The other movie i saw was a TAMIL out and out entertainer called ANNIYAN. I jus loved it. have watched it a dozen times already. The message conveyed in the movie is very good.

I have great regret on not attending my tuitions regularly. think i ll start attending pretty soon with no more excuses left :-))

A day trip to nearby PEARL VALLEY which is a waterfall by bike is on the cards..

thats all 4 nw.. will keep u posted on the trip
